This CD, recorded at the "Dovana Nariams - A Gift to Our Members" 2006 LF fall concert, has been released by the Lithuanian Foundation. The recording features three talented LF scholars - award-winning pianists Gabrielius Alekna and Evelina Puzaite and emerging soprano Vakare Petroliunas. The Lithuanian Foundation is proud of and delighted by the achievements and accomplishments of these young people, and the wide recognition they bring to the Lithuanian nation.
This recording was made during a special Lithuanian Foundation concert held on November 4, 2006 at the Lithuanian World Center, Lemont, Illinois.
The CD is available to donors for a membership-level ($100US) contribution.

"It could be said that culture and passion are the roots of humanity. I am blessed that my roots are not limited to the American soil that I live on, but extend deeper, into my beautiful Lithuanian heritage. This year, when I sang in the Lithuanian Foundation’s “Dovana Nariams” concert, my pride in my heritage was intensified and my role as a Lithuanian-American became clearer. Each of us is like a single note within the Lithuanian song. We can be heard from every corner of the world, but it is when we come together that the most exquisite harmony can be heard. I am truly grateful to the Lithuanian Foundation for giving me the opportunity to further my musical studies. I will nurture my Lithuanian roots, so that when people hear me sing, they hear an echo of the song that IS Lithuania."
