Vidugiris Engineering Scholarship Fund
Donor-designated grant and scholarship funds under the auspices of the Lithuanian Foundation ensure continual support of the donors’ intended purposes. Already this year earnings from the late Victor Vytautas Vidugiris Scholarship Fund, a $100,000 fund established in 2005, will enable the support of students in the field of engineering. One of this year’s Vidugiris Fund scholars, Sigita Saliklis of New York, describes how the scholarship helps her advance her academic goals:
“First let me sincerely thank you for this scholarship. Without it, it would be very difficult for me to continue my architectural studies, because architectural students have significantly higher out-of-pocket expenses. Our courses require that we express our ideas using 3-dimensional models. Your generosity will permit me to purchase model-making materials, books, and computer software. With these supplies, I will be able to continue my architectural studies. Thank you!”
