Dr. Juozas Kazickas’ legacy will live on through the memorial donations in his name to the LF

 In News and Events, Uncategorized

We were saddened at the passing of Dr. Juozas Petras Kazickas (1918-2014), a well-known businessman and philanthropist who loved Lithuania not only in words but in deeds. Having retired from his businesses he directed his efforts to philanthropy. Together with his daughter Jūratė, he created the Kazickas Family Foundation Inc., which concentrates its efforts in supporting schools, cultural events, religious and welfare organizations and care of the infirmed.

Dr. Kazickas was a Board Member of the Lithuanian Foundation for 13 years. In commemoration of his passing the Kazickas family asked for donations to be made to the Lithuanian Foundation. The Foundation will dedicate these funds to the memory of Dr. Kazickas and the funds will be used for Lithuanian cultural projects, support of heritage schools and scholarships.

We are grateful to the Kazickas family for their trust in directing these donations to the Lithuanian Foundation. As of Oct. 1, 2014, we have received $10,200. We thank all the contributors for their support.
